3CX Phone System is an office phone system/IP PBX for Windows that the vendor states replaces your PBX. It supports standard SIP soft/hard phones, VoIP services and traditional PSTN phone lines. 3CX Phone System features Web based administration and allows users to "hot desk" by taking their phone.

Features include:

- Call switching, routing and queueing

- Unlimited extensions and phone lines. No proprietary expansion modules needed

- Web based configuration and status indication

- Receive voice mail via E-Mail

- Auto attendant (e.g. 1 for sales, 2 for support etc.)

- Out of the box configuration for many VOIP providers

The vendor states that the free edition has no timeouts or limitations.

Also available from the vendor is a free VOIP / SIP phone (softphone) for Windows that enables you to use your PC or laptop as a phone. The vendor states that is works with any SIP / VOIP provider / phone service.

The softphone features an interface to transfer, forward calls or review history of calls; call log; caller ID; and integration with MS Outlook. Available in many languages.

- Incoming calls - identify, accept, reject or ignore

- Put calls on hold (HOLD), transfer calls (ECT), divert calls to voice mail
