Originally published at Internet.com When it comes to gaming keyboards, one of the most popular choices is the Logitech G15. It is probably the best gaming keyboard money can buy, and the G15 uses many unique features that other manufacturers have tried to replicate. There are a few other choices for serious gamers, as keyboards like the Razer Tarantula, Saitek Eclipse, Microsoft Reclusa, and Ideazone ZBoard offer some viable alternatives to the Logitech G15, and its little brother, the G11.
That being said, competition certainly didn't stop Cyber Snipa from releasing their own version of a gaming keyboard. The Cyber Snipa Warboard is the newest addition to the gaming keyboard market, and this sleek, new unit adds yet another competitor to the mix, and gives buyers an additional choice when it comes to gaming keyboards.
First up, let's have a look at the features of the Cyber Snipa Warboard.

Cyber Snipa Warboard
The basic design of the Warboard is that of a standard keyboard, and on the surface, it features a basic QWERTY layout. Cyber Snipa has attempted to turn a few heads by upgrading the outer shell by incorporating a shiny "Armor Plate" chassis. The key architecture is also gamer-oriented, reducing "ghosting effects" and allowing a greater number of simultaneous key presses.
The Warboard features 17 Interchangeable combat keys that enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of the keyboard. The combat keys feature different icons and symbols, but it would be better if these also had a different texture, maybe a rubber coating, to really feel the difference, not just see it. The keys remove and install quickly and painlessly, so don't worry about rolling up your sleeves and ripping the keyboard apart.
Like most of the other gaming keyboards, the Warboard has a button to lock the Windows key, which is a great feature for even casual gamers. After all, who hasn't inadvertently hit the Windows key and minimized a game in the middle of a hectic match? We're starting to see this type of anti-Windows key feature more often in newer keyboards, and hope that it won't be going away anytime soon.
The keyboard also features 10 media keys to control sound, stop music/video, or change the track. This lets you easily adjust your music without maximizing the player. Most keyboards have these media player options, but it is still a very welcome feature. There are also keys to open the calculator and the search option, which are both quite handy.
Software
The driver installation was straightforward. The Warboard software allows you set up the Macro keys to perform different functions. The Macros keys act as Function keys by default, which can be easier to use, as they are located closer within your reach.

Conclusion
The Cyber Snipa Warboard is a quality keyboard that is comfortable to use, and it mimics many of the same features of other high-end gaming keyboards. The lack of a backlight feature is disappointing, and at a street price of $60, this is getting uncomfortably close to Logitech G15 territory. The Warboard is a good keyboard, but in some ways it is aiming a bit too high, and doesn't quite match up to the top-rated competitors.
Pros: * * Very good keyboard quality * Lightweight design * Interchangeable keys provide a unique look * Quiet key operation * Keys can be changed quickly and easily
Cons: * * No backlight or USB ports * At $60, pushing into Logitech G15 price range * System lights are obnoxiously bright
The Verdict: A quality gaming keyboard that may be aiming a bit too high on the price-performance scale. SysOpt Product Info
