Join us at Bideawee's Love on a Leash, 10th Annual Fair amd Main Street Pet Parade. Hundreds of participants usually come out with their beloved dogs this afternoon. Events include Information tables with pet health tips such as "Ask the Vet" & "Ask the Trainer", Loveliest Pet and Pet-Owner Look-a-Like contests. Radio Flyer Red Wagon Contest, Face Painting, Meet the Suffolk County Police K-9 Unit as well as Bideawee's adoptable pets. Music, Raffle Prizes and much more. Fair is located on the Westhampton Beach Village Green at Main Street and Mill Road in Westhampton Beach. The Pet parade starts at the Westhampton Beach Village Green and is led down Main Street to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center and back to the Village Green by event grand marshals. Bideawee Mechandise available for purchase. Donations and sponsorship of the event is also available.

Held in cooperation with the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association, low cost rabies vaccines are available at this annual event. Please register your pets in advance by calling (516) 785-5220. There is a $10 fee (CASH ONLY) per vaccination and a limit of three pets vaccinated per household. Pregnant pets cannot be vaccinated. For the safety of all participants, cats must be brought in carriers and dogs must be leashed.All dogs must be licensed in order to receive a rabies vaccination. Please bring the current license with you to the program, or the purchase of a new license will be required. The Town Clerk's Office will be on hand to issue dog licenses to residents of unincorporated areas within the Town of Hempstead. The cost of a license for a non-neutered male or a non-spayed female dog is $10.50. The cost of a license for a neutered male or spayed female dog is $2.50. Spay/neuter certificates must be submitted as proof. For licensing questions call the Town Clerk's office at (516) 489-5000 ext. 3033.

Your new pet will receive free immunizations, and all adoption fees will be waived! All adopted pets will be microchipped and will receive free spaying or neutering. You only have to pay a nominal state license fee for dogs.
