Audiovox D1718

Very Good

The Audiovox D1718 is a quality laptop-style portable DVD player. It has a 7-inch screen suited for the 16:9 aspect ratio. It plays DVDs, CDs, CDR, CD R-W, and MP3 formats, as well as Picture CDs. The player is well suited for vehicle use with built-in stereo speakers and a car power adapter.

The Audiovox D1718 comes with complete cabling and a car power adapter so you're ready to hit the road. The system also comes with a 28 button “credit card” sized remote and a rechargeable battery. The two headphone jacks and 7-inch screen make it good for sharing.

Users who have reviewed the product are relatively satisfied with their purchase, but have some legitimate concerns. They found the rechargeable battery that connects to the back of the player to be annoying, and the life to be too short, only lasting 2 hours. Users found that the Audiovox D1718 is good for child use since it is lightweight and durable. And while some found the built-in speakers didn’t have the best sound, headphones seem to remedy the problem.

For the price, the D1718 by Audiovox is a pretty good portable DVD player. The audio output lets you enjoy a movie or music alone or share with others using the built-in stereo speakers. Easily take it on the road with the included car power adapter or utilize the rechargeable battery while you’re on a bus, train, or airplane.
