Produced by Sherrie Hawk (who will host this at her Sherrie Gallerie) and WILD WOMEN WRITING, the play will be presented as a staged reading. The event is free and open to the public. Description:
Set in the upper-class German-Jewish society of Atlanta, Georgia in December 1939, this comedy-drama features Adolph Freitag, owner of the Dixie Bedding company and his sister and nieces who eagerly await Ballyhoo, a lavish cotillion at their restrictive country club. So assimilated that they have a Christmas tree in the parlor, this Jewish family is forced to examine prejudice within their own religious community when an attractive, eligible bachelor, Joe Farkas, enters their lives.
