Canon EOS 20D

Very Good

Canon EOS 20D

Canon has a pretty good idea of how to make a camera. They have been doing it for quite sometime with much success. The EOS 20D replaces the EOS 10D, adding higher resolution, a broader range of ISO settings and faster performance.

The solid construction of the EOS 20D makes it the camera of choice for those who demand professional performance at consumer prices. The rubberized grip makes it easier to hold and get the best shots possible.

Standout features

• 8.2 megapixel resolution

• 5 fps continuous shooting speed

• DIGIC II digital imaging engine

• 0.2 second start-up time

Features

The Canon EOS 20D features an 8.2 megapixel resolution, allowing the user to have extremely large prints made or make portions of larger pictures full size. It will also allow the user to better edit the photos using programs such as Photoshop. The physical size of the sensor is 22.5 x 15mm. This generous size helps the camera eliminate noise while capturing as much light as possible.

Those who shoot sporting events know how important it is to have a fast camera. With its ability to shoot up to 5 frames per second, you will never miss the action. Now you will be able to have the perfect shot every time of the action.

With its DIGIC II digital image processing engine, the Canon EOS 20D produces sharp, noise free images. There is nothing worse than taking low light images, only to have them ruined my too much noise. While noise will always be part of digital photography, the DIGIC II helps reduce it dramatically.

Have you even missed a shot because you were waiting for your camera to turn on? The EOS 20D features 0.2 second start up times, enabling you to catch all of the action.

The low light performance was enough to impress the expert reviewers. The camera felt fast and responsive with straight forward controls. The camera felt easy to use and had a good balance of features that both amateurs and professionals alike can appreciate.

Consumers were drawn to the EOS 20D for its favorable reviews and easy to use features. The images produced were above expectations and the easy to use feature made it easy to take better shots.

Summary

The Canon EOS 20D is a full featured digital SLR with features that can be appreciated by both expert and amateurs alike.
