Canon Hv-10 HDV Camcorder Austin TX

The excellent picture quality of the Canon Hv-10 puts this HDV camcorder in a league of its own. The compact camcorder is held vertically, weights just over one pound and includes a built-in light and flash. To some the design may seem awkward but it doesn’t take much to get used to, especially since all the buttons are conveniently located in the appropriate places.

Canon Hv-10 Hdv

Very Good

The excellent picture quality of the Canon Hv-10 puts this HDV camcorder in a league of its own. The compact camcorder is held vertically, weights just over one pound and includes a built-in light and flash. To some the design may seem awkward but it doesn’t take much to get used to, especially since all the buttons are conveniently located in the appropriate places.

The Canon Hv-10 HDV records in 1080i and standard definition resolution. The CCD resolution at almost 3000k is one of the top in its category, resulting in a great picture on the computer or large HDTV. However, HD resolution does take its toll on the Canon Hv-10 battery and it is suggested you invest in a backup. Additionally, there is no HDMI output for watching directly from the camcorder to your television.

Users have found the Canon Hv-10 to be useful to novices and experienced amateurs alike. Everyone is thrilled about the image quality, and even still pictures are decent enough to develop in 4x6. The Canon Hv-10 buttons and functions are located in all the right places, but they are very small and will be a problem to those with “fat fingers.” Critics especially did not like that the Canon Hd-10 does not include software. To edit your videos you will have to invest in a third-party video editing program.

The Canon Hv-10 is a solid, compact camcorder that will suit the needs of most consumers.
