Causes of Acne Nashville TN

Experts describe acne simply as a kind of disorder in a person’s skin where oil is produced to keep the skin moisturized. This is a result of changes in the hormone, especially during puberty. Other causes of acne may be due to inflammation or bacteria that settle at the pore of the skin where hair follicles and the sebaceous gland can be found.

What causes acne can vary from one person to another, depending on skin type and hormones which are connected to a person’s genetic make-up. The top three causes are as follows: acne bacteria, inflammation of the skin, and entrapment of oil in the skin pores.

1. Acne Bacteria

Propionobacterium acnes or acne bacteria live on the skin. This type of bacteria relies on sebum, a natural skin moisturizer, which becomes their food. This acne attracts white blood cells and in turn produces chemicals onto the skin opening which is the pore. When these propionobacterium acnes combine with white blood cells, inflammation such as pimples is produced.

2. Inflammation of the Skin

Skin inflammation or acne comes in three forms – blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. Blackheads usually clog the pores on the exposed surface of the skin. They become dark because of the pigmentation. Whiteheads on the other hand form into the deeper part of the skin. Without an exhaust, oil is trapped in the skin. This leads to a reddish inflammation known as the pimple. Pimples are causes of skin irritation due to excessive oil and bacteria.

3. Entrapment of Oil

When excessive oil is produced, the skin becomes irritated. The oil cannot flow normally, thus it appears on the surface of the skin as an inflammation.

What causes acne is just normal for any person to experience. To avoid these causes, people must learn proper hygiene and consult the dermatologist as often as possible.
