China's Chery Automobile will start tosell cars in Turkey through a local sales agency in the country in November,a local newspaper in Turkey reported.
Chery's sales agent in Turkey said it would import 2,000 Chery vehiclesin five models in November. In the first half of 2007, Chery exported atotal number of 52,712 vehicles, representing over a half of China's totalcar exports.
Currently Chery Auto has seven assembly plants in six countries andregions worldwide. The company has made strategic decisions to build moreplants overseas to boost exports instead of relying solely oncompletely-built vehicle delivery.
