(NC)—A recent study by Statistics Canada reveals that Canada's favourite refreshment is water. With 60% of Canadians drinking bottled water everyday and with so many water choices available, which should you choose to keep cool this summer? Here's a guide outlining the differences that exist between bottled waters.

• Artesian water has the most mineral benefits because it comes from an underground aquifer – a confined, pressurized chamber below the surface of the earth that is protected from external contamination of pollution. Try: Fiji Water.

• Spring water comes from an underground source; however spring water finds its way to the surface through a fracture or fissure in the earth's surface. Try: Montclair or Naya.

• Purified water can come from any source, including spring water, well water, seawater, or municipal water. This source of water is then processed by reverse osmosis or deionization to produce water that is indistinguishable from distilled water. Try: Dasani Water.

• Distilled water is boiled and evaporated. It has no minerals in it and the very structure of the cell of each water molecule is also stripped away. Distilled water can be purchased at grocery and retail stores, usually in one gallon containers.

Whichever you choose, water is vital to flushing toxins from the body and keeping skin supple. Be sure to drink the recommended eight glasses per day to achieve optimum benefits.
