The Cowon sets itself apart from the pack of MP3 players out there by distinguishing itself as a video player more than anything else. The 4-inch LCD screen makes it a perfect size for viewing videos. The A3 also supports a number of popular video formats and then some. Just about any video file format you’ve heard of it can support. It can even handle files encoded in HD resolution. That’s pretty good.



Along with above-average audio quality, the Cowon A3 also has the ability to record audio. You can record audio using the Cowon A3 straight into a WMA or FLAC file format. The Cowon comes with a built-in monophonic mic.



The A3 also has some extra features like the FM radio and a text viewer that, although nothing great in themselves, add to the overall attractive package of the Cowon A3. Experts found that the FM radio provided above-average reception and has a fairly large number of station presets so you can program in all your favorite stops on the radio.
