Preparation Time: 5 minutesCooking Time: 5 minutes

1 tbsp olive oil15 mL

1 clove garlic, crushed1

1prepared thin pizza crust1

1pkg (227 g) pre-sliced crimini or white or1fresh Mushrooms

2 1/2 cupsshredded provolone cheese (225g)625 mL

2 tbsp sliced basil leaves (optional)25 mL

Preheat barbecue to medium-high heat. Mix oil and garlic together; brush over pizza crust. Arrange mushrooms on top and distribute cheese over mushrooms.

Place pizza crust directly on oiled grill; close the lid and grill 4-5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bottom of crust is lightly browned. Garnish with basil if desired.

Makes 4 main course servings.

Variation: Drizzle with truffle oil at serving time.

Tips: For convenience pre-shredded Italian cheese mix may be substituted for Provolone but flavour will not be as good. This may also be cooked in 375ºF (190ºC) oven directly on the rack for 4-5 minutes.
