Get More Out Of Your Workplace Than Just Taxes

For many business owners, sometimes it seems like all you get out of running a business, is taxes. There are so many forms to file, and sometimes it feels like all the money you work so hard to make is spent on taxes. But, if you've noticed your sales slumping or if you'd just like to add some more cash to your bottom line, there's a very easy way to do that. Recent studies have shown that just by placing flowers and green plants in the workplace, you can enjoy marked improvements in your business.

Just a short while ago a study was conducted at A&M University that proved flowers in the workplace don't just make the office prettier, they also have some outstanding positive affects on the employees who work around them. After gathering research in three environments (one with flowers and plants, one with sculptures, and one with no decorations), researchers concluded that flowers and plants in the workplace lead to both men and women producing more ideas than those working without flowers and those ideas were more creative.

You can add flowers and plants to your workplace just by visiting your local florist and picking out the items you want. When you're making a list of what you'll need, be sure you've included flowers and plants for the areas of your office that see the most daily traffic. Traditional high-traffic areas include the lobby, break room, cafeteria, and sales area.

Choosing your plants will be easiest if you already have knowledge about how to care for them and which plants will grow best given the light available. However, if you don't have a green thumb, you can ask your florist for some help. In fact, some florists even offer special services for business that include regular deliveries and care for plants. They'll work with you to set up a convenient schedule to keep your office looking beautiful without disrupting your day-to-day business.

However, if you can't afford to hire a florist to care for your plants or if the florist in your area doesn't offer such services, be sure to ask questions about what kinds of flowers will work best in your office, how often to water them, and what and when they should be fed. Even if plant care services aren't available, your florist may be willing to visit your office to help you choose the right kind and number of plants.

With a few well-placed flowers and plants, you can help your employees to produce more and be happier doing it. A small amount of money spent on flowers and plants can help you get a lot more out of your business than just more taxes to pay.
