Taking its“Green Initiative” even further, Yokohama will feature theall-electric 2008 Tesla Roadster sports car in its booth (#40709) at theSEMA Show in Las Vegas, Oct. 30-Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas ConventionCenter.
Yokohama has partnered with Tesla Motors, providingultra-high-performance ADVAN Neova AD07™ LTS tires as standardequipment on the 2008 Tesla Roadster, with a 0-60 time of 4 seconds andcapable of speeds over 135 mph. It will be part of Yokohama’senvironmental theme at the internationally known trade show. Yokohama willalso display a turbo bio-diesel Dakar Rally Toyota Land Cruiser fitted withGeolandar A/T-S® tires. Additionally, Yokohama will feature its all-newconsumer passenger tire, the Super E-Spec™, an environmentallyfriendly tire that combines citrus oil with natural rubber to form a newcompound called “Super Nano Power Rubber (SNPR).” It greatlyreduces the use of petroleum products in tires.
“Partnering with Tesla on the electric Roadster is in line withYokohama’s corporate mandate, which is to reduce its environmentalimpact in every way possible,” said Jim MacMaster, Yokohama executivevice president, Business Division. “It’s a way of thinking, anenvironmental conscience.”

The ADVAN Neova AD07® LTS is made with Yokohama’s patented MScompound. The tire’s composition and unique tread design offer highgrip and stability in hot, cold and wet conditions.
