Originally published at Internet.comHongxin Technology & Trade Ltd. (HXTT) produces a line of pure Java JDBC drivers for multiple databases; including Xbase, Access, Paradox, CSV, Text, and Excel files.
Each of the drivers support transactions, embedded access, remote access, memory-only database, compressed database (.ZIP, .JAR, .GZ, .TAR, .BZ2, .TGZ, .TAR.GZ, .TAR.BZ2), and url database (HTTP, FTP); support concurrent database connections, and are thread safe. They support the ANSI SQL 92 standard, more than 180 SQL functions, XOPEN SQLState, RMI, Jini, JNDI, and serialization. They support { UNION | INTERSECT | EXCEPT | MINUS } [ ALL ] query , INNER JOIN, FULL JOIN, LEFT JOIN, RIGHT JOIN, NATURAL JOIN, CROSS JOIN, self join, multiple-row VALUES table, PIVOT table, UNPIVOT table, and subquery which includes single-row subquery, multirow subquery, multiple-column subquery, inline views, and correlated subquery. It suuports data mining on memory-only table, physical table, url table, and compressed table in SQL.
The drivers are completely written in Java and can be deployed on any platform with a Java VM, including Microsoft Windows, Novell Netware, Apple Mac OS, Solaris, OS2, UNIX, and LINUX. It supports Personal Java, JDK1.1.X, JDK1.2.X, JDK1.3.X, JDK1.4.X and JDK1.5.X. The drivers are available separately.
Individual drivers currently available include:
- HXTT Text (CSV) contains type 4 JDBC (1.2, 2.0, 3.0) driver packages for raw data, tabular data, flat text, CSV file, TSV file, PSV file, fixed-length, and variable-length binary file.
- HXTT DBF contains type 4 JDBC (1.2, 2.0, 3.0) driver packages for Xbase database (dbase, Visual DBASE, SIx Driver, SoftC, Codebase, Clipper, PowerPlus, Foxbase, Foxpro, VFP (3.0, 5.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10), xHarbour, Halcyon, Apollo, Goldmine, and BDE). It supports Xbase applications' compatible lock (DBASE, DBASE4BDE, DBASEIII, DBASEIV, CLIPPER, CLIPPER5.3, PowerPlus, SoftC, FOXBASE, FOXPRO, FOXPRO4BDE, and VFP).
- HXTT Access contains type 4 JDBC (1.2, 2.0, 3.0) driver packages for Microsoft Access versions from 95, 97, 2000, XP, 2002, to 2003. It supports join query in more than one mdb database. It supports VIEW (QUERY of MS ACCESS), Linked Table to other Access databases, and most simple stored procedures (select, insert, update, and delete).
- HXTT Paradox contains type 4 JDBC (1.2, 2.0, 3.0) driver packages for Paradox versiosn from 3.0, 3.5, 4.x, 5.x, 7.x to 11.x. It supports Paradox's encrypted database.
- HXTT Excel contains type 4 JDBC (1.2, 2.0, 3.0) driver packages for Microsoft Excel versions from 25.0, 95, 97, 98, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, to 2004.Author: Company Rep
