Originally published at Internet.comThe database backup feature of Handy Backup allows you to automatically back up databases. It can back up all ODBC compatible databases such as Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, MS Access, Postgre SQL, DB2, FoxPro, Interbase and more.
Features include:
- Back up databases located on your local machine or any remote computer on the network
- Choose to backup all the database tables or some of the database tables
- The vendor states that even if you don't have administrator rights to access the database and the database is stored on a remote computer, you can still back it up to your local machine. After you have backed it up locally, you can open the database backup file, save it to a new database, or restore it to the original remote location.
A server version of Handy Backup (Handy Backup Server) is also available. Handy Backup Server allows you to perform backups of multiple machines from a central server in a corporate network.
