Steps

  1. Find a safe route to school. Using Google map you can see the road and find a route to your school that is safe and not dangerous. This will help a lot if you know a way to school. Make sure you understand the way so you don't get lost or stuck in any way. It might be helpful to print out the directions until you memorize the route.
  2. Carry a cellphone with you if you have one. In case you get lost and you are stuck in a place with nobody around, you could call your parents, the school, etc.
  3. Bring a friend. If you have a cellphone, still bring a friend. If your cellphone just happens to die down or whatever, it'll help. If you don't have a cellphone, bring a friend who might have one, or a friend that can help you with the ride there and back.
  4. Confirm with a parent that you are riding on a bike to school. Make sure they know that you are going. You wouldn't want worried parents thinking you are missing.
  5. Write down a list of the phone numbers if you bring a cellphone. This way you'll know who you can call.
  6. Ride to school! Stay safe, have fun, and get to school!

Tips

  • Go in a group if you want. If one friend does not feel safe yet, bring 2 or 3 friends. This should be at least a little better.
  • Bring a map. Just in case you can't remember where to go. Maybe even some directions.
  • Ride on the proper area. You don't want to get hit by a car!
  • If you fall, if you can, call the school. Or, have the friend help you to the school nurse. Also works for vice versa.
  • Bring a helmet. Stay safe!
  • learn how traffic works.
  • bring something to lock your bike with at school so they wont steal it.;l

Warnings

  • Be careful of where you ride. You would never want to get injured in an accident.
  • Be careful of falling!
