Steps

  1. Do everything a good student would do: pay close attention in class, ask questions, be an active student, do homework.
  2. Take good notes. Remember, listen more than you write. Listen for comments like, "This will be on a test," "remember this," or if she repeats something, make a small reminder in your notebook, like a "T" (for test).
  3. Study! Make a small place in your room with pencils, pens, erasers, laptop (if you can afford one), and a small lamp.
    • Arrange certain times to study. Here's a bad time to study, it's the day of the test, 3'o clock in the morning, you have no electricity, and you haven't studied yet. (What are the odds?)
  4. Eat a good breakfast. It's important that you don't skip breakfast, it's not healthy and you'll be starving during the test.

Tips

  • True or false questions that have highly opinionated words such as "always" and "never", are usually false.
  • Try to make your essay responses at least seven sentences long. Be sure to read it over, and to proofread.
  • Sleep early the day before the test.
  • Have a relaxing hot shower in the morning, brush your teeth, wear nice clothes...whatever it takes to make you feel good about yourself. You need to have confidence.
  • Once you know about a test, start studying. Devote half an hour a day to studying. The day before the test, study, but you don't have to be intense about. Review your notes just once or twice and then say, "I know I've tried my best!"

Warnings

  • Don't cheat. Even if you don't care about the immoral nature of cheating, the odds of getting away with it are next to none. The consequences are too great to try.
