Steps

  1. Look through your course work for the term or semester
  2. Pull out all tests and any practice exams your teacher may have given you
  3. Get a graph pad and write down anything you think may help you, or what you think may come up as a question.
  4. What is your allocated cheat sheet? 1 page? Half a page? 1 Double sided A4 sheet is the norm for year 11 exams, and 2 pages double sided for year 12.
  5. If you have written more than your allocated amount, dont worry. Get your pages and scan them onto your computer.
  6. Open up an image editing program such as Paint or Photoshop
  7. Open your notes. Make a new window with A4 dimensions (should be a preset in photoshop).
  8. Drag and drop each page into this new one, and shrink it down so it all fits. Usually 4 full pages can be fitted into 1 page and still be legible. If you have more than 4, make a new window and fit the rest in that one.
  9. Once you are done, print out the first page. Put that page back in the printer, black side up, and print out the 2nd page.
  10. You now have potentially 8 full A4 sheets of maths notes.

Tips

  • Photoshop is very useful, but not neccessary. Any program that can resize images easily is fine.

Warnings

  • Most schools only allow hand written notes, however technically, you are still hand writing them then scanning them onto the computer to resize them. Check with your maths teacher first if they have specific rules about this kind of thing.
