The Power Tweaks package also serves as a follow-up to the Internet Explorer 4.0 Power Toys Kit. The Power Tweaks package includes three tools for enhancing Internet Explorer 5: an Offline/Online toolbar button, a Restrictions command, and a URL clipboard

The Three Power Tweaks

The Offline/Online toolbar button is mainly designed for notebook computer users and allows users to quickly select offline browsing when not connected to the Internet. The restrictions command resides on the tools menu and allows you to easily set sites as trusted or restricted without having to wade through the control panel to set the specific controls.

The final utility - and perhaps the most useful - allows you to select any link on a site and, by right-clicking on it, copy the URL for the link right into the clipboard. With the URL in the clipboard you can easily paste addresses into e-mail or other documents - or even the address bar in Internet Explorer if you want to see the complete address of the file you're about to download.

IE5 Toolbar Wallpaper Add-on

The IE5 Toolbar Wallpaper add-on is a separate download that adds another useful function to your browser. The wallpaper option resides on the tools menu (it can also be added to the IE toolbar) and allows you to pick your choice of wallpaper graphics for your IE toolbars. You can also use your current desktop wallpaper with the wallpaper add-on.
