Anyone who wishes to form a team, volunteer to help with planning the event, or wants to hear more about this year’s event, should call American Cancer Society, 1-800-ACS-2345. Relay For Life is an overnight event that celebrates cancer survivors while honoring those in the community who lost their battle with cancer. Teams raise funds to fight cancer. Relay For Life of DeKalb County will be June 21-22, at Sycamore High School .

Corwin, Emmy award-winning star of Animal Planet, the Travel Channel, the Discovery Channel and CNN's Planet in Peril, is an internationally-reknown wildlife authority. Through May 4: “Every Girl’s Dream Dollhouse” is now on display in the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce lobby at 164 E. Lincoln Hwy. , DeKalb. The hand-crafted doll house, designed and built by Cortland resident, Lee Newtson, features lighting in each room, a working doorbell and windows, carpeting and wallpaper. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Third Annual Walk4Wisdom / Run4Research Sunday, May 4, at Hopkins Park , DeKalb. Raffle tickets are $2 each or six for $10, available at the Chamber or through www.caps4sam.com. All proceeds from the raffle and activities on May 4, benefit Chicago ’s Children’s Memorial Hospital specifically for pediatric brain tumor research.
