- LiveProject Free Project Viewer enables businesses to open Microsoft Project mpp files. With it, you can view task and resource tables color-coded. Gantt charts support timeline settings, zooming and layout options such as critical path, zooming, split tasks, milestones, 'Rollup' task bars, and more. Other features include a project overview bar that shows the total progress including deadlines; the ability to drill down to subtasks or subprojects and examine detailed task information; support for nearly all project fields including custom fields; fields with links are clickable; the ability to export task and resource data to CSV files, Excel, PowerPoint or E-mail, using templates; full support for subprojects; support for custom alarms; auto-reloads projects when they are updated; allows users to view multiple projects using a tab-based UI; customizable filters including sorting and regular expressions; can view Bugzilla databases using custom filters and multiple accounts; quick-launch Bugzilla URLs directly to the bug you are viewing or directly to a "new bug" entry form; support for printing.
LiveProject Free Project Viewer (no expiration) supports Microsoft Project 2000, 2003 and 2007 .mpp files. It can be upgraded to LiveProject Project Collaboration.
- LiveProject Project Collaboration is an application that enables you to collaborate on Microsoft Project plans (mpp files) with your team. Managers upload project plans to their account, and team members can use LiveProject as a project viewer to see the entire plan. They can also drill down to their own tasks and maintain a "live" view of project activity.
Team members make changes to the project plans, which are treated as "pending" until the manager approves/rejects them. Each change is visible "live" to the entire team. Updates to the project plan are automatically distributed without needing to refresh. The vendor states that the process is almost entirely automatic.
LiveProject works across business units, or with external clients or partners; a built-in user management functionality allows you to share just the information needed for each external company. All connections are encrypted with SSL. Projects reside on the vendor's server, encrypted with an individual account key. KaDonk offers an installed solution as well.
