2. What Is An Office Trailer?

An office trailer or mobile office is an office built within a truck, motor home, or trailer. It’s a temporary pre-fabricated building that serves as an office. Most mobile offices function like a regular office. These types of offices are convenient because they’re easy to transport. Office trailers are one of the best solutions for companies that need a building fast. Most can be set up in hours or days. They’re constructed as well as any office building. Office trailers are usually leased out to companies that need a work space. Most trailers come in a variety of models and sizes. Mobile offices can be used for sales offices, construction offices, classrooms, and mobile storage units. They’re also used for employees displaced by remodeling or construction. Professional offices, education, health care services, and industrial applications use trailers when they need temporary space.

There are four things that are necessary to consider before you lease or buy a mobile office. Some trailers have different requirements from others, so you need to know exactly what you’ll be using the trailer for. To make sure you get the correct size, you’ll need to know how many people will be working in the rental trailer. Don’t forget to include bathrooms, storage space, and meeting rooms. You should also know how long a lease you’ll need, or how long you’ll need a mobile office. You have to know the amount of space in the area where you want the trailer, so it will fit properly.

3. Construction Trailers

Mobile structures used to house temporary offices, dining facilities, and storage of building material during construction projects are called construction trailers. It’s important to ask how old a construction trailer is before you rent it. An older trailer may need repairs or cleaning. Most vendors do clean and repair the trailers between rentals, but you should check out the unit to make sure. Once a construction trailer arrives, it usually doesn’t take long to set up.

Commercial, industrial, and multi-home construction sites typically have construction trailers. Supervisors and foremen often use these trailers as a temporary office. Most construction trailers have office equipment such as phones, a computer, printer, and fax machine. Trailers should have some kind of security system. A wireless system is recommended. Silent alarms are good to use because it gives the police a chance to respond in time. Another option is a camera put on the inside of the protected trailer.

4. Features Of Office Trailers

There are almost all the same features in a mobile office as in a regular office, except they’re smaller in size and aesthetics. Built-in file cabinets and drawers are available in most office trailers. The typical mobile unit often has features like closets, partitioned walls, and conference units. Climate control is also available. Smaller mobile trailers can have electric baseboard heating and through-wall air conditioning. Larger or new models may have a central HVAC system. This kind of system is great for reducing your utility bills, and it does a better job of climate control. Some trailers have a conventional bathroom, but usually they are equipped with chemical toilets. The chemicals disinfect waste instead of pumping it out into the sewage system. These are convenient if you’re only going to need your trailer for a short time.

Many office trailers also come with doors, windows, electrical wiring, and furnishings such as an end desk and filing cabinet. Other features of some rental trailers are electrical outlets, plan tables, and plan racks. Some even come with extras such as steps, ramps, and security screens. A smaller mobile office may have an office at one end and storage space at the other. Customized designed mobile trailers offer multi-media centers, conference rooms, work complexes, and customer service areas. Satellite, computer, and telecommunications systems can also be added.
