Womens' tastes run a little more refined.
What gives? Though car companiestypically avoid making gender-specific vehicles, Jim Hossick, vicepresident at AutoPacific told MSNBC, "some cars are more masculine orfeminine by nature."
While AutoPacific's data shows brands such as Hummer,Dodge, Porsche, and GMC are most popular among men, models produced bySaturn, Honda, Volkswagen, and Hyundai are the biggest hits with femaledrivers.
"People who have tried to make a vehicle that is female-centrichave failed," says Hossick. "Women might buy a 'man's' vehicle, but menwon't buy a 'women's' car."
