It's where it all began in 1909, when seven female students at the University of Washington in Seattle laid the groundwork for a 100-year legacy. Through its growth first as Theta Sigma Phi (? ? ?), Women in Communications, and now known as the Association for Women in Communications -- a name thought to better reflect a cohesive group representing all communication disciplines. AWC continues to provide its members with tools and education to excel at their jobs, their careers and their lives.
