2. Ventilating Equipment and Air Systems

Ventilation systems aim at controlling the atmospheric condition mostly in rooms that are on the higher floors of a building. Ventilation systems include the ducts in buildings that are supposed to be air inlets in the building. During winter, heaters are very important to regulate the air temperature by warming up rooms to prevent inhabitants from getting too cold. There are different air systems that are designed for the atmosphere and more so the interior atmosphere of rooms.

3. Application of Ventilation Systems

Ventilation systems are mostly used in tall building where the windowpanes are fixed to avoid blowing of strong wind into rooms. Due to the total closure of the rooms in such buildings, ventilation systems are ducts that are connected to the exterior of the building. The ventilation could also be automated where the electric fans and dehumidifiers are used to circulate the air in a room. These though could are not very efficient methods like the ductwork that allows exchange of air between the inner and the outer atmosphere. Ventilation is also applied in warehouses where perishable are stored. Circulation of fresh air makes perishables livelonger due to the flow of air. People who work in warehouses and production plants that could be underground at times need fresh air and this is supplied through the ductwork that is connected to the exterior. Most warehouses employ the ductwork as the main air systems since they are manual ventilation and they do not use energy.

4. The Ventilation Process

Ventilation allows enough air into a room. This avoids stuffy rooms and the ventilation systems that are used matter. Some rooms do not have windows and since fresh air is needed in such rooms, the ductwork is important. Ductwork involves construction of a duct or a wide hollow pipe that is used as an air inlet into a building. Ductwork acts as a substitute to windows and wall ventilations. The ducts must be cleaned to avoid flow of dust into the room together with the fresh air. This requires constant cleaning of the ducts. Ventilation also incorporates the air systems that are supposed circulate fresh air. These include the fans that rotate in a room creating a breeze which in turn cause a cooling effect. Fans acts as both air coolers and purifiers since they cause air circulation in a room and when air circulates, there is fresh air. Other air systems include the dehumidifiers whose main work is to cool the air in the environment. This electric appliance is usually fixed to the ceiling it cools hot air that is circulating in a room.
