Model Introduction
The Wellcraft 232 Fisherman is one of five 18-ft. to 25-ft. center console models designed for near offshore waters. Standard equipment includes a well-designed T-top, which is usually an option on this class of boat, and a long list of fishing accessories. With high freeboard, ample deck height off the water, and a good-running deep-vee hull design, the 232 Fisherman is a solid inshore sportfishing boat with a number of novel features that make it highly competitive.

Hull Design
The Wellcraft 232 Fisherman has a modified vee hull with a fine entry tapering off to 20o of deadrise at the transom. Chine flats add lift at speed and stability at rest and spray strakes help keep the boat dry in a beam wind.

There's also a real bonus for a boat of this size, a hand railing along the gunwale. The cockpit is also relatively deep, 27 in. at the transom and 29 in. a few feet forward. The builder even includes a set of padded bolsters in the working part of the cockpit back aft (and also in the bow) for added comfort. ...
