Let's face it, whether or not we are at high school or out in the "real world," there will be a point when we will have to write an essay. It can be hard to write something really good if we are not passionate about the subject, so if you want to learn to be pasionate about what you are not passionate about, keep reading.

  1. Understand what you are writing about. Remember, the reader is going to be confused if you say something that is not true. Understanding what you are writing about usually includes studying the topic.
  2. Take notes. Write down bullet points about all the things you classify as important or what you think the reader will want to know. The good thing about this is that you can then use these bullet points as examples.
  3. Write the introduction. Every essay must have an introduction. It should include what the topic is about. Also try to structure the introduction by starting with a statement or question, then an example of what you are talking about.
  4. Write the body of the essay. This usually consists of two or three paragraphs depending on how big the topic is. Always keep to the same point in each paragraph and don't rant on and on about one piece of information because the reader will get bored.
  5. Write the conclusion. Writing the conclusion is a lot easier than writing the introduction and the body, mainly because you have already written what you wanted to answer. The conclusion is just a short, sweet summary of what you have told the reader.
