There are three product lines in the X-Porter family: The currently available X-Porter and X-Porter XT drives, and the forthcoming X-Porter XT version2 drives.
The standard X-Porter drives are currently offered in six models, ranging in capacity from 128 MB to 4 GB. They are USB 2.0 compatible drives with backwards compatibility to USB 1.1, and include a security partition utility. They weigh 5.5 grams and ship with a 5 year warranty.
The X-Porter XT drives (eXtreme Transfer) are billed as high-speed drives, and are also USB 2.0 compatible with backwards compatibility to USB 1.1. The XT drives feature read speeds of up to 32 MB/sec, the result of a 200X transfer rate. It ships in capacities of 1, 2, or 4 GB; and is enclosed in a water and shock-resistant casing. The X-Porter XTs ship with a lifetime warranty.
Finally, the newly announced X-Porter XT version2 drives feature both speeds and capacities beyond that of their predecessors. The XT version2 drives boast a 266X transfer rate, translating to read speeds of up to 39 MB/sec. The new drives will also ship in a rubber casing and include a lifetime warranty; and are expected be offered in capacities from 1 to 16 GB.
Additional new entries expected in the X-Porter family include the addition of 8 GB drives.
The X-Porter standard and XT drives are available now; the X-Porter XT version2 is expected to be available in March. Capacities listed above are unformatted.
